Novel Ca2+ interdigited microelectrodes based on self-assembled monolayers of a new calix[4]arene crown-5 derivate
Abstract
A kinetic study of the ionic interaction along the molecular recognition process of a self-assembled monolayer (SAM) based on calixarene molecules with calcium ion is reported. For this study we have used interdigited electrodes (IDEs) developed with silicon technology, functionalized with a SAM of new calix[4]arene derivative. Variations in conductance due to the changes in the charge-transfer resistance produced by the ion recognition are measured using a Lock-In Amplifier.
