Resonant influence of a planar metamaterial to the guided mode of a coplanar line.

Abstract

Artificial dielectrics prepared as planar grids seem to have prospective uses and applications at microwaves due to their easy fabrication, and their wide range of obtainable properties. Here, we study a grid of metallic S-particles introduced in the design of a coplanar waveguide and we demonstrate the resonant influence of the grid to the S-matrix of the coplanar waveguide.
