Resonant influence of a planar metamaterial to the guided mode of a coplanar line.

Abstract : Artificial dielectrics prepared as planar grids seem to have prospective uses and applications at microwaves due to their easy fabrication, and their wide range of obtainable properties. Here, we study a grid of metallic S-particles introduced in the design of a coplanar waveguide and we demonstrate the resonant influence of the grid to the S-matrix of the coplanar waveguide.
