Coupled Experiment/Simulation Approach for the Design of Radiation-Hardened Rare-Earth Doped Optical Fibers and Amplifiers

Abstract : We propose a new approach coupling experiments and simulation to design radiation-hardened rare-earth doped optical fibers and amplifiers. The performances of a radiation-hardened Er/Yb up to 50krad are presented.
