Laser surface nanostructuring of platinum
Abstract
Extended surfaces of Pt films were nanostructured using the self-organization of surface material induced by ultrashort laser pulses with 200 fs pulse duration. Different surface morphologies are observed depending on the irradiation conditions, such as laser fluence and number of laser pulses. The processed surfaces were analysed by SEM and cross-section SEM. Periodical structures with periods of 180 nm up to 720 nm were obtained.
