Combined experimental and simulation study of the fiber composition effects on its Brillouin scattering signature

Résumé

Brillouin signatures of 15 fibers are characterized experimentally and theoretically highlighting the core and cladding dopants influence. Tailoring the fiber composition and refractive index profile, multi-peak fibers allowing discriminating between temperature and strain appear feasible.
